Genesis of the 'Granny' project:

While working with people immediately following knee replacement surgery, I found the somatic education approach transformative in restoring their vitality in everyday activities. This respectful way of working, engaging the intrinsic body intelligence of each person, is effective without increasing pain.
For many years I have wanted to share my experiences, to use this approach prior to surgery, to improve outcomes after surgery. Through my alter ego, Ms. Linda Thomas, I have created a model in continuity in care I think will become the standard for TKA surgeries.
'Granny' is the culmination of many decades of movement learning, and I am grateful to all who have contributed along the way.
